How does Website Downloader work?

Downloading any website through works in three steps: First, you enter the URL of a website you want to download. You can select the entire domain or an exact web page with a specific slug. In the second step, you select the subpages you want to download. In the third step, you choose the format and additional options (for example, graphics, metadata, and whether to extract the text into one or multiple files).

Do I need technical experience to use Website Downloader?

No. The app is easy-to-use, user friendly and built with steps to help you successfully select web pages and options for downloading.

Is it the same as Machine Translation (MT)?

No, we don’t want to compete with Google Translate. 😀 Website Downloader does not translate websites. It is a tool for extracting and downloading websites locally to your computer. If you’re using it for translating, you can upload downloaded files into your Translation Management System, such as Memsource, Trados, Smartcat, Transifex etc.).

What happens if I unintentionally close the browser during the scan?

If something unexpected happens, such as a power outage, you accidentally close the browser tab or your boss catches you 😊, don’t worry, the scan will continue on the server. In My Account, look for your scan history and find your scan url. You will be also notified by email about the progress of the website you wish to download.

How long does it take to scan an average website

Our tool scans approximately 100 web pages in 2-3 minutes. Try it out!

How can I pay?

Using Stripe Payment Services, you can choose any subscription plan by entering your credit card details. Stripe accepts Visa, Mastercard, American Express, Diners, and other payment methods. 

How do I edit my payment method?

First, navigate to your account (My Account tab) and then click Update Your Subscription. You will be redirected to the Stripe customer portal where you can edit your credit cards.

How can I receive an invoice and check my payment history?

If you’ve purchased a one-time download credit, you will receive the invoice via email immediately after payment. If you did not receive an invoice by email, please contact our support by email: [email protected]

If you have a subscription, you can view the invoices in the Stripe customer portal.

Navigate to your account (My Account tab), Subscription, and then click “Update your subscription”. You will be redirected to the Stripe customer portal where you can view your invoices and payment history.

How do I cancel my subscription?

To cancel your subscription, navigate to your account (My Account tab), Subscription, and then click “Manage subscription”. You will be redirected to the Stripe Customer Portal where you can edit and cancel your subscription.
